Sept. 20 (Saturday)

Joel is still feeling a little better. However, his platelets and red blood cell counts are down and he is receiving whole blood and platelets today. His color is much better and the swellling seems to be slowly going down. His voice is weak today and he says its because he has a lot of sores in his mouth, which, again, is one of those ugly side effects of chemo. But, each day brings us closer to getting well and going home. Thanks again for your prayers.

Judi: I just have one question - do you wear your big, yellow chick costume when you make your Chick-Fil-A run??!! So glad to hear Joel feels like eating - Chick-Fil-A is the best! I'm sure you heard about the GDS game last night :-( we lost! Today is another day and they are playing HPCA! It should be a good match. I really wish I could look up on that hill and see you and Joel sitting there, but that will happen soon enough. Take good care of him - the ole school house just ain't the same without him. We need him back! "The Lord your God is with you, He is mighty to save. He will take great delight in you, He will quiet you with his love, He will rejoice over you with singing!" Zeph 3:17 Keep listening to that music! It is straight from heaven - it is good for the body as well as the soul! I love you both! Patti
